Instructions of the Graduate student dormitory application for the fall semester 2016.

The master and Ph.D. student who have lived for at least two years outside of Taipei city, New Taipei city and Keelung city, and want to apply for the fall semester 2016 dormitory, please apply between 9am on July 15 to 5pm on July 25 2016. (Late application will not be acceptable.) Apply either the university dormitory (https://housing.ntu.edu.tw/graduate) or the BOT dormitory (http://ntudorm.prince.com.tw) or both. However, if both are drawn, you may only choose one. The computer will randomly draw the pick. For the further result of the university dormitory draw, please log in this system or visit the student housing service division website at http://dorm.osa.ntu.edu.tw/main.php to get the result. The BOT dormitory result will be on the BOT dormitory news website.

  1.  Check-in information: after applicants been drawn, please bring your household registration transcript and student’s ID card when you check-in. if you don’t meet our qualifications, we will cancel it.

  2. If you already applied a dorm, you can live until your terms of study finished without re-application.

  3. Check-in time: from 9/5 to 9/14, between 9 a.m. to 5 a.m., bring your payment receipt to the counselor office of each dormitory for check-in application.

  4. If you have the following conditions, you can have the priority to live in the dormitory. If there are no empty bed, you will have priority on waiting for the beds.

  5. If you match the following conditions, please check the priority options when you apply through the Internet. Please upload the paperwork required before 7/25/2016. If you don’t meet the qualifications, you can’t have the priority.

  • Disabled students, disability card needed.

  • Offshore islands and aboriginal students, household registration transcriptneeded.

  • Foreign students and overseas Chinese students in the first year of studies, passport and overseas Chinese students certification copy needed. You should bring your overseas Chinese students certification to NTU Overseas Students Adivising Division before uploading.

  • Low-income households living outside Taipei City, New Taipei City and Keelung City need to bring the low-income certification copy. If you meet the qualifications of low-income households, the accommodation fees are free.


    The result of ballot will be announced on 2 p.m. 7/27/2016 on the application website. Please log in to check the result (https://housing.ntu.edu.tw/graduate or https://dorm.osa.ntu.edu.tw/main.php).  The priority of ballot is as follows:

  • Disabled students.

  • Offshore islands and aboriginal students.

  • Low-income household students.

  • Exchange students.

  • Foreign students and overseas Chinese students in the first year of studies.

  • Medical students on government fund who qualify for the conditions set out in Item 7 of this article and who are in their first year of study in the university.

  • Students who until the deadline of the application have had their household registry registered outside of Taipei City, New Taipei City, or Keelung City for longer than 2 years (including the registry of the parents).

  • Students who until the deadline of the application have had their household registry registered in Taoyuan City for longer than 2 years (including the registry of the parents).

  • Students proven to have special needs with physical evidences.


     

  1. Students can apply for Downtown Dorm or On-campus dorm according to your gender. Students being drawn or on the waiting list can find another student by yourself to apply for the Campus Housing Exchange after the processing time is announced.  Downtown Dorm include Men 2nd Dorm, Men 4th Dorm, Women 4th Dorm and Women 6th Dorm.  On-campus Dorm include Men 6th Dorm, Men 8th Dorm, Men 1st Graduate Dorm, Men 3rd Graduate Dorm, Women 1st Graduate Dorm and Women 3rd Graduate Dorm.

  2. Students who aren’t drawn to any dorm will get a waiting list number randomly. If there is an empty bed available then you will receive the e-mail notice sequentially. Students can log in the system website (https://housing.ntu.edu.tw/graduate) to search for the waiting conditions. Before the semester starts, male students can fill in about 200 students and female students about 100 students in previous years. However, the check-out conditions are different in every year, students can consider yourself.

  3. Waiting line number will continue to 12/31/2016. After the date, the number is invalid.
